We made it through as one of six finalists in this year's Royal Agricultural Society of NSW President's Medal for our Merimbula Rock Oysters following winning Champion Sydney Rock Oyster at last year's Sydney Royal Fine Food Show.
The President's Medal is very special award looks at what goes on behind the scenes to produce a champion product. The judges take a deep dive into the business operations of the finalists to assess environmental, social and financial sustainability as well as innovation and passion as Aussie producers.
This is a really proud moment for us as oyster farmers at Australia's Oyster Coast, and is a great recognition for our quality oysters and how we conduct ourselves as an oyster business. To make it through as a finalist is a huge win for a growing business like ours.
